Friday night:  10th scale, to include 17.5 blinky touring cars and 13.5 blinky WGT.

Sunday:  12th scale 17.5 blinky.

Doors open at 12:00, free practice for all SIGP entries.

Track maintenance throughout the day as needed.

Track closes at 6:30 for Club race prep.  Entry for club race closes at 6:45.  C lub racing is limited to one class per person due to time constraints (may allow two classes if there is a lack of entries).

SIGP sign ups will close at 8:00, if you can not make this time get a hold of Richard Lake to get your entries in.

SATURDAY December 8th

Doors open at 7:00

Open practice until 9:15 with track maintenance as needed.

Drivers meeting at 9:45.

Racing starts at 10:00.  3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday, heats will be resorted after round 2.

SUNDAY  December 9th

Doors open at 7:00

Open practice until 8:15 with track maintenance as needed.

Final round of qualifying at 9:00.

30 minute break between qualifying and main events.

RACE INFORMATION:

5 minute qualifiers except for 12th scale which will be 8 minutes.

Novice class will run heads up, all other classes will be IFMAR (staggered) starts.

All stock classes 17.5 & 13.5 off-road or on-road – No boost/timing allowed in speed controls.

Mains, all on-road A-mains will be 6 minutes except 12th scale which will be 8 minutes.  All lower mains will be 5 minutes as needed.

Off-road AAA’s for modified buggy, all other A-mains will be 10 minutes.  Novice will be 6 minutes and 4wd short course will be 8 minutes.  All lower mains will be 5 minutes.  Top 8 qualifiers into A main with 2  bumpm spots from lower mains (except modified buggy, top 10 qualifiers and no bumps).

The 2012 Southwest Indoor Grand Prix will see the return to the carpet track for this event.  Club racing will take place on Friday night with a limit of 1 entry per person and the SIGP event will take place on Saturday and Sunday.  Rules will be posted shortly, as will an entry form that can be filled out ahead of time.

Registration will tentatively close at 7p.m. Friday, December 7th.

Series Race Format
We will run 2 qualifiers with main events to follow.

5 minute qualifiers
*Personal transponders are required

Mod and Open classes- We will take top 8 to the A-Mains and bump 2 from lower

mains for all Mod and Open classes. A-Mains are 10min (except Pro4 witch will be 6min)
and all lower mains will be 5min.

17.5 and 13.5 Classes- We will take top 8 to the A-Mains and bump 2 from lower

mains. A-Mains are 10min and all lower mains will be 5min.
Novice- We will take top 10 to the A-Main 5min mains
Points

We will use your best 5 out of 6 rounds for points. Points will be awarded to each
racer depending on your finishing order of the main events in each series race.
Points will be added together in combination with the Finals to award your top

drivers.
Opening Round at CH and The Series Finals at SRS will be worth double points.

Scottsdale RC Speedway does not have loaner transponders so our race directors will
do their best to hand count but it is the racers responsibility to have personal

transponders.

Awards and Cash Payout:
Scottsdale RC Speedway and Competition Hobbies will be giving a cash payout for

the top 10 drivers in each class at the end of the point series excluding Novice. We
will calculate an amount of your entry fee to be awarded back to the top 10 winners
based on total entries per class for all 6 races. The total amount will be divided

among the top 10 drivers by a set percentage.

Cash Payout Example- 50 racers x 6 series races= 300 total entries x $5.00=$1500

If there are not enough racers to complete a class for the entire series
we will not do a cash payout. A class must race for at lease 4 out of 5
